Job Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively
- Knowledge of EKG and venipuncture skills
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- One year of technical experience preferred
- Ability to follow sterile protocols and safety guidelines
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work variable shifts including on-call hours

- Ability to communicate effectively in English including reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension
- Knowledge of EKG and venipuncture skills
- Organizational skills
- Current knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Computer skills preferred
Job Duties
- Supports operating room staff by maintaining a safe environment and delivering quality patient care
- Assists nursing staff with patient care by positioning and transferring anesthetized patients and supporting limbs during surgical skin preps
- Delivers specimens and blood products to labs
- Ensures stretchers and oxygen tanks are readily available for patient transport
- Maintains surgical machines and equipment and prepares operating suites
- May assist in delivery of medications
- Utilizes knowledge of cleaning protocols for all types of specialty surgical equipment
- Performs terminal cleaning of operating rooms as assigned
- Contributes ideas for improvement of department goals including first case starts and turnover times
- Performs other duties as assigned
