Job Requirements

  • Residency in the State of New York
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company standards
  • Ability to lift and move items of 70 pounds and/or more regularly
  • Ability to work in outdoor and inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to use a computer and productivity tools accurately and quickly
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Must be able to obtain GSC qualification and comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing
  • May be required to obtain Customs' Seal and meet international flight work requirements
  • No current or future work authorization sponsorship available
  • Not interviewed for Supervisor Ramp position at LGA in last 12 months

Job Qualifications

  • Fully functioning, broad knowledge of Airline Operations
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Knowledge of applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements and their applications
  • Ability to listen to, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and/or in speaking with others
  • Ability to recognize and address performance and safety concerns in a timely manner
  • Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements
  • Must possess a current valid driver’s license issued in the United States

Job Duties

  • Guide and lead team members using SWA talent management practices to coach, develop, and engage employees
  • Adhere to Company values and competencies to foster a culture of inclusion, recognition, and support of a safe work environment
  • Invest in leadership and self-growth through participating in continuous learning and development
  • Actively coordinate with all Departments to maintain the station's on-time performance, employee morale, and Customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and guide ground support performance to ensure requirements are met
  • Ensure all equipment including GSE is maintained and available for the operation
  • Oversee day-to-day airport operations to create a safe, secure, and legally compliant service-conscious environment
