Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior supervisor cook experience in a restaurant or hospital environment preferred
  • Ability to work full-time including weekends, holidays, mornings and evenings
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Willingness to adhere to company policies and drug-free workplace standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior supervisor cook experience in a restaurant or hospital environment preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation and safety standards
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and food cost control

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensures all deadlines are met based on production orders
  • Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate
  • Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly
  • Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service to comply with sanitation, safety, production and merchandising requirements
  • Interacts with customers to resolve complaints and relays relevant information directly to supervisor
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them to associates and customers
  • Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks product production, consumption and waste and informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
  • Performs other duties as assigned
