Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- OR Two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- Two years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Ability to manage kitchen operations and staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Availability to work full time including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications

- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills for managing and developing kitchen teams

- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Experience with labor management and budgeting in a hospitality environment
Job Duties
- Manage kitchen shift operations ensuring compliance with food and beverage policies and standards
- Estimate daily production needs and communicate them to kitchen personnel
- Assist the Executive Chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
- Prepare and cook various types of foods for regular service and special functions
- Develop and create new culinary applications, presentations, and decorative displays
- Maintain purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- Ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation standards, and applicable laws and regulations
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, coordinate food preparation activities
- Provide exemplary customer service, handle guest feedback and complaints
- Utilize labor management systems for employee scheduling and attendance tracking
- Train employees in safety procedures and best practices
- Participate in employee performance appraisals and coaching
- Maintain department equipment and report malfunctions
- Communicate with supervisors and team members, attend pertinent meetings
- Analyze information to solve problems effectively
