Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of customer service experience preferably in an upscale food and beverage environment
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • pass food, beverage and service knowledge quizzes and skill tests
  • possess exceptional organizational qualities
  • maintain a friendly, helpful and engaging manner
  • able to handle responsibilities involving cleanliness, guest interaction and operational support

Job Duties

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods including silverware, linen and condiments
  • quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting, promptly and consistently resetting all service ware
  • transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning
  • sweep floors between guests and service accordingly
  • clean up spills and debris during and between service
  • discard trash appropriately
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • ensure plate presentation as per standards
  • expedite food orders when necessary
  • engage and genuinely interact with guests while anticipating their needs
  • explain food and beverage items in detail to guests
  • follow all hotel, LQA and Forbes 5 Stars standards and conduct self-audits for compliance
  • act as point of contact between Front of the House and Heart of the House including stewarding
  • support and assist servers, bartenders, chefs and managers
  • control costs and waste
  • maintain order on pick up side of line
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of line
  • proactively assist co-workers
  • serve courses correctly
  • be familiar with all menu items and property services
  • clear excess dishes to maintain clean and orderly tables
  • exceed guest expectations
  • perform other duties as assigned
