Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years’ experience in crew planning
- Experience using planning/scheduling software
- Knowledge of PSA collective bargaining agreements
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years’ in Crew Planning
- Previous experience using planning/scheduling software
- Knowledge of PSA Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to speak/read/write in English
- Ability to demonstrate authorization to work in the U.S.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous supervisor experience preferred
- Previous project management experience preferred
Job Duties
- Work with AA Network Planning to build future crewmember schedules for better utilization and efficiency in hotel, transportation and per diem costs
- Ensure software files are sent to the Manager of Dispatch and verify Crew Trac is loaded for the next month’s publication
- Guide Planners on pairing studies to focus on increasing efficiency in pairing and line construction each month and report findings to the Manager of Crew Planning
- Oversee monthly schedule development, pairing/line production, tracking crewmember seniority, domiciles and vacation changes
- Discuss timeline and workflow with Planning team to keep the task on time based on contractual deadlines
- Participate with Union groups to construct flight pairing schedules to cover the operation efficiently
- Ensure monthly Pilot and Flight Attendant bids/awards are contractually compliant
- Conduct monthly pairing/line review meetings with Union groups to discuss upcoming schedules, gather feedback and discuss with the Manager of Crew Planning
- Load crewmembers bid packages, retrieve bids, and process line awards with Crew Planning team
- Collaborate with the Training department to project training qualification dates and monthly training awards
- Coordinate with Manpower Planning to track crewmember seniority and status for current and projected timelines to assess supportability
- Audit Planners documentation and processes for maintaining reports from Workday and updating all seniority tracking lists
- Check that Planners have accrual rates for annual vacation and review contractual requirements have been met for publication of the annual vacation bid, trades and updates throughout the year
- Work with the Manager of Planning to determine vacancy announcements
- Discuss with Planners to structure the vacancy timeline
- Confer with Planners to complete monthly reports to track various results
- Monitor Planners are responsive to crew questions via phone and email
- Assist with any conversations that require leadership intervention
- Make sure Crew Planning is represented at all Pilot and Flight Attendant new hire classes
- Assist Crew Planning Manager in the management of scheduled crew hotels
- Network with Vendor to update pairing and line optimization products as needed
- Update Crew Planning webpage monthly
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Crew Planning
