Job Requirements
- Read, understand, and write English at the eighth-grade level
- Perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level
- Have sufficient visual acuity to check identification
- Read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash registers and other equipment
- Can lift up to 50 pounds and carry cases of various products
- Can stock shelves and coolers
- Can react to a fire by using a fire extinguisher
- Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
- Can climb a ladder to clean windows
- Sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, lift and carry out trash
- Can clean the parking lot and ground surrounding the store
- Can enter and work in a walk-in refrigerator cooler
- Be at least 18 years old
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in English reading and writing at the eighth-grade level
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
- Experience operating cash registers and handling transactions
- Knowledge of store safety and security protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Physical capability to lift heavy items and perform cleaning tasks
- Familiarity with inventory stocking and product rotation
Job Duties
- Greet customers with a smile and offer prompt service
- Operate cash register and manage cash and credit card transactions
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, shelves, equipment, and gas pump areas
- Stock shelves, rotate stock, and manage pricing
- Follow shoplifting prevention, cash control, and vendor check-in procedures
- Prepare shift reports and communicate any discrepancies to the manager
- Sweep, mop floors, clean parking lots, and maintain overall store cleanliness
