Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ability to lift and handle heavy baggage and cargo up to 50 lbs or more
  • valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license if required
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in various weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and nights
  • basic mechanical aptitude for operating ground support equipment
  • ability to pass background checks and comply with airport security regulations
  • attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
  • fluently read, write, and speak English
  • willingness to join the Transport Workers Union and pay union dues

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in aviation or ground handling preferred but not required
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to operate ground support equipment

Job Duties

  • load and unload cargo and baggage safely and efficiently
  • marshal aircraft to designated parking positions
  • operate ground support equipment such as belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts
  • perform water servicing of aircraft
  • adhere to all safety and security regulations
  • communicate effectively with team members and flight crews
  • assist with maintaining ramp cleanliness and organization
