Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ability to lift and handle heavy baggage and cargo up to 50 lbs or more
  • valid driver's license, must be maintained throughout employment in this role
  • strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and flight crews
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and nights
  • basic mechanical aptitude for operating ground support equipment
  • ability to pass background checks and comply with airport security regulations
  • attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
  • fluently read, write, and speak the English language

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in aviation or ground handling operations
  • familiarity with aircraft types and airport layout
  • knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in the airport environment
  • experience operating ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and forklifts
  • strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • basic computer skills for completing paperwork and using scheduling systems
  • strong customer service orientation and positive attitude toward passenger interactions

Job Duties

  • Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure
  • load and unload cargo/baggage on and off aircraft
  • safely drive and operate ground support equipment including belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts
  • sort and load baggage
  • perform ground service functions such as connecting/removing ground power and ground start units and water service
  • perform aircraft pushback, wing walking, and related guide man functions
  • maintain a secure work environment
