Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- ability to lift and handle heavy baggage and cargo up to 50 lbs or more
- valid driver's license, must be maintained throughout employment in this role
- strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and flight crews
- flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, and nights
- basic mechanical aptitude for operating ground support equipment
- ability to pass background checks and comply with airport security regulations
- attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- fluently read, write, and speak the English language
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in aviation or ground handling operations
- familiarity with aircraft types and airport layout
- knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in the airport environment
- experience operating ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and forklifts
- strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- basic computer skills for completing paperwork and using scheduling systems
- strong customer service orientation and positive attitude toward passenger interactions
Job Duties
- Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure
- load and unload cargo/baggage on and off aircraft
- safely drive and operate ground support equipment including belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts
- sort and load baggage
- perform ground service functions such as connecting/removing ground power and ground start units and water service
- perform aircraft pushback, wing walking, and related guide man functions
- maintain a secure work environment
