Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing or walking 6 to 8 hours in an 8-hour day
- hand use including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures ranging from below freezing to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment like knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

- strong organizational and time management skills
- excellent interpersonal, motivational, and team building skills
- capable of teaching others positively
- product knowledge
- advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies
- proficient mathematical skills for financial assessment, profitability, and inventory management
- demonstrated decision-making and leadership skills
- proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications
- 12 plus months retail experience
Job Duties
- Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods team members
- works with Prepared Foods trainer to train team members to build a high-performance team
- assists in training new team members using training materials
- keeps cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated
- opens and closes the department according to procedures
- ensures all necessary breaks are given
- communicates team concerns to Team Leader and Associate Team Leader
- sets and achieves highest standards of retail execution
- fosters a positive environment of teamwork, respect, and morale
- maintains awareness of customer flows and needs and directs team members accordingly
- selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels team members
- provides timely and thorough performance evaluations
- consistently communicates and models Whole Foods Market vision and goals
