Job Requirements
- Equivalent to graduation from high school
- Two years of warehouse receiving, ordering, stock clerk, and inventory experience
- Some positions may require forklift certification
- Recent documented material handling or warehouse experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Availability to work day and swing shifts, seven days a week as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of increasingly responsible experience in warehouse receiving, ordering, stocking, and inventory
- Knowledge of inventory control and record keeping practices
- Ability to safely use material handling equipment including forklifts if certified
- Familiarity with medical supplies and infection control practices
- Ability to work day and swing shifts as needed
Job Duties
- Receive, store, and issue materials, supplies, parts, tools, and equipment used in the hospital and ambulatory clinics
- Load, unload, and deliver materials and supplies to appropriate departments
- Manage specialized stockrooms located on clinical floors including receiving, checking of merchandise, performing inventories, replenishment of supplies, and establishing stock levels
- Maintain accurate inventory control records
- Safely use and maintain hand and power tools and material handling equipment
- Follow infection control and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with diverse personnel and maintain positive working relationships
