Job Requirements

  • Equivalent to graduation from high school
  • Two years of warehouse receiving, ordering, stock clerk, and inventory experience
  • Some positions may require forklift certification
  • Recent documented material handling or warehouse experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Availability to work day and swing shifts, seven days a week as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of increasingly responsible experience in warehouse receiving, ordering, stocking, and inventory
  • Knowledge of inventory control and record keeping practices
  • Ability to safely use material handling equipment including forklifts if certified
  • Familiarity with medical supplies and infection control practices
  • Ability to work day and swing shifts as needed

Job Duties

  • Receive, store, and issue materials, supplies, parts, tools, and equipment used in the hospital and ambulatory clinics
  • Load, unload, and deliver materials and supplies to appropriate departments
  • Manage specialized stockrooms located on clinical floors including receiving, checking of merchandise, performing inventories, replenishment of supplies, and establishing stock levels
  • Maintain accurate inventory control records
  • Safely use and maintain hand and power tools and material handling equipment
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures
  • Communicate effectively with diverse personnel and maintain positive working relationships
