Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a reliable telephone and transportation
- Treat all information as confidential
- Possess tact to deal with various levels of situations and people
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow instructions in English
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- Must be able to lift, stoop, squat, push, stand, and bend throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift, carry, and hold up to 75 lbs
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must complete a criminal background check
- Must meet requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be a US citizen or possess necessary authorization from immigration and naturalization service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous airport and/or customer service experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess the ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions in English
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
- Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
- Familiarity with government, client, airport, and company regulations
- Ability to handle physical demands of the role including lifting up to 75 lbs
- Completion of pre-employment and random drug tests
- Successful criminal background check
- Authorization to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- US citizenship or necessary immigration authorization
Job Duties
- Actively participate in the safety management system
- Provide special assistance to passengers as requested
- Provide general information and directions to passengers
- Meet inbound arrivals as requested to provide special services
- Check equipment thoroughly before use
- Lock wheels when assisting passengers in/out of courtesy chair
- Always use both hands when pushing courtesy chairs
- Always back chairs down inclines
- Request assistance when transferring passengers who cannot transfer themselves
- Never take a courtesy chair up/down a stairway or escalator
- Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner
- Handle mobility aids and luggage with care
- Be familiar with government, client, airport, and company regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and report maintenance needs
- Project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries
- Attend meetings and in-services
- Maintain records, reports, and files as required
- Wear proper uniform and keep identification visible
- Adhere to company policies and participate in company objectives
- Use company and client resources conscientiously
- Perform other duties as requested
- Comply with all safety requirements including using only trained equipment and reporting unsafe conditions
