Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good math skills
  • Forklift license or ability to obtain E-ONE issued forklift license
  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety practices
  • Certified per paint manufacturer criteria
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies
  • Ability to read and understand shop orders
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds frequently
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Visual acuity to operate machinery and perform mechanical tasks
  • Ability to work under hazardous conditions
  • Must comply with safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Lean methodologies
  • Ability to read and understand shop orders
  • Recordkeeping abilities
  • Experience with spray gun operation preferred

Job Duties

  • Work from specifications, shop orders and work instructions
  • Review material and product requirements
  • Prepare operations such as masking and hanging parts
  • Obtain specified paint and appropriate spray gun
  • Check and adjust paint gun operation
  • Receive components for coating and check substrate condition
  • Activate paint and apply primers and top coats
  • Set baker temperature and timer according to manufacturer recommendations
  • Clean and maintain spray equipment and paint booth
  • Visually inspect work and record production
  • Notify supervisor of equipment or operating issues
  • Perform job functions at other paint facilities as needed
  • Assist with operations to maintain work flow
  • Promote safety and adhere to safety rules
  • Check work for quality conformance
  • Identify nonconforming products
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Support Lean and 5S methodologies
  • Attend training and meetings
  • Lead team efforts and provide innovative leadership
  • Manage conflicts constructively
  • Adapt to ambiguity and change effectively
  • Drive for results and exceed goals
