Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
- record temperatures on dish machines, freezers, etc
- able to stand and/or walk 85% to 100% of the shift
- frequent bending at the waist, able to bend below the knee
- twisting and bending of head and torso
- full range of arm movement including extension, twisting, and bending
- able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist height
- able to lift up to 20 pounds overhead
- able to lift and carry 20 to 30 pounds for up to 10 feet
- repetitive wrist movement
- frequently work in conditions of extreme heat
- ability to push and pull up to 250 pounds
- exposure to and handling of solvents, cleaning products, organic waste, dust
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
- record temperatures on dish machines, freezers, etc
- prior experience in cleaning or food service is helpful but not required
- knowledge of safety and sanitation practices
- ability to operate dishwashing machinery and cleaning equipment
- effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Load and operate a dishwashing machine
- remove and store washed dishes, glasses, cups, silverware, etc
- wash pots, pans and cooking utensils
- mop floors, wash walls, windows, cabinets, shelves, equipment, including locker room and bathroom areas
- clear and clean tables and dispose of trash and garbage
- observe safety and health regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation
- may move materials into and out of storage area
- may fill milk and beverage dispensers and replenish as needed
