Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of education and experience
  • minimum of 3 years' hotel operations and leadership experience
  • demonstrated financial acumen with significant profit and loss responsibility
  • computer literacy with ability to navigate database, browser, email, document and spreadsheet programs
  • exceptional service orientation
  • reliable and responsible with strong follow up and attention to detail
  • proven leadership skills supporting employees to meet personal and department goals
  • proactive approach with strong problem solving abilities
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • experience with major hospitality brands preferred

Job Qualifications

  • proactive problem solving and initiative
  • ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • experience with major hospitality brands such as Wyndham, Marriott, Choice, Hilton, Starwood

Job Duties

  • communicate, promote and model Avantic's support culture and values
  • provide leadership and direction to department heads and front line staff
  • manage the financial performance of the hotel through effective control of expenses and through the development, analysis and implementation of budgets, sales plans and forecasts
  • ensure adherence to company and brand standards, and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory compliance requirements
  • identify and respond to guest feedback and facilitate prompt and effective resolution to guest concerns and complaints
  • actively participate in recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching and employee relations processes to ensure quality, continuous improvement and positive team morale
  • accomplish people support strategies by determining accountabilities, enforcing policies and procedures and requirements, communicating Avantic's programs and appraising and reviewing performance and compensation practices
