Job Requirements
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs
- must have basic computer skills and be proficient in using materials handling equipment including pallet jack and hand truck
- preferred minimum of 1 year receiving, storeroom, shipping or general warehousing experience

Job Duties
- Counts, checks and verifies items received against the Bill of Lading, manifest, packing slip and/or purchase order
- inspects incoming shipment for damages
- prints receiving document and attaches it to shipping documents prior to delivery
- delivers shipments to remote locations or arranges special transportation
- obtains signatures to verify receipt of supplies and equipment
- prepares manual Receiving Report for unmatched supplies or equipment
- notes entries in logbook
- counts, weighs and packs items to be shipped out
- verifies vendor shipping address and attaches Bill of Lading or return forms
- handles priority shipments ensuring overnight packages are prepared and picked up the same day
- enters quantities received and notes into the system accurately and timely
- enters returns and records in tracking systems
- completes filing of packing slips and documents
- assists in reconciling discrepant invoices
- stores stock in designated locations maintaining bin organization
- fills requests for inventoried items
- maintains clean work environment by stacking and removing empty pallets and cardboard
- notifies Biomedical or Corporate Facilities departments for necessary equipment checks
- affixes asset tags on capital equipment or delivers them to department managers
- operates and maintains departmental equipment safely
- secures all moveable equipment at the end of the day
- performs additional assigned duties and projects
- adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior
