Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years leadership or supervisory experience
  • 5+ years in aircraft maintenance or related safety roles
  • knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, FAA regulations
  • proficiency in root cause analysis
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • strong communication and presentation skills
  • high integrity in compliance
  • legal authorization to work in the US
  • ability to attend work reliably and punctually
  • successful completion of job interview

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in OSHA, ANSI standards and CFR application
  • thorough understanding of FAA 14CFR
  • proficient in root cause corrective action methods
  • OSHA 30 certified
  • 4+ years supervisory or leadership experience
  • 5+ years experience in aircraft maintenance, inspection, safety or related air carrier operations
  • proven leadership skills
  • strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • high ethics and integrity in compliance adherence
  • legally authorized to work in the United States
  • successful completion of interview
  • reliable and punctual attendance

Job Duties

  • Oversee division safety training, issues, and regulatory requirements for line and base maintenance
  • serve as the subject matter expert in safety and compliance including dangerous goods
  • conduct continuous surveillance through site audits and visits
  • manage safety and compliance matters within the designated region and secondary maintenance stations
  • address safety and compliance concerns proactively
  • integrate operational, safety, and compliance risk analysis with quality assurance and control
  • support leadership to reduce injuries, severity, aircraft damages, lost time, operational impacts, and costs
  • lead investigations for non-compliance and injury/damage incidents with root cause analysis
  • generate and present audit and investigation findings
  • ensure implementation of safety policies and SMS principles
  • lead risk reviews and monitoring plans
  • promote lessons learned across divisions
  • lead systemwide Tech Ops safety initiatives
  • provide mitigations for safety issues from union safety committees
  • serve as master trainer on safety subjects and share expertise
