Job Duties

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare for service
  • prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, vegetables, and cold food items
  • prepare sauces and garnishes for allocated station
  • cover, label, date, and correctly store all food items as per safe food-handling procedures
  • inform chef in advance of likely shortages
  • prepare dishes to order
  • set up sanitizer buckets and towels
  • constantly check the equipment on the line to ensure there are no gas leaks
  • temperature checks of all reach-in and walk-in coolers
  • set up rubber floor mats at station
  • tastings with team members
  • restock reach-in coolers
  • prep lunch boxes for oncoming rushes
  • clean line equipment including grill, range, and flat top
  • wipe down rice warmers
  • clean underneath equipment
  • change foiling lining on top of ranges
  • clean sinks of food debris and sanitize
  • disinfect prep area surfaces
  • sweep and mop floors
  • empty and wash sanitizer buckets
  • other duties as assigned
