Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid commercial driver's license CDL-A or CDL-B
Must have a valid DOT Medical Card
Must pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening
Ability to work flexible and variable schedules including early morning shifts
Ability to lift 40-50 pounds regularly
Ability to climb traditional and truck ladders
Ability to stand or sit for long periods
Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
Ability to hear and distinguish sounds
Ability to make fast, repeated movements of hands and fingers
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach
Ability to coordinate multiple limbs while stationary
Ability to hold arm and hand steady while moving
Ability to see details of objects a few feet away
Ability to use muscles for jumping, sprinting, throwing, and for extended periods
Ability to be physically active for long periods
Ability to distinguish direction of sounds
Ability to see differences in colors and brightness
No smoking permitted on or within company property

Job Qualifications

Possess a valid commercial driver's license CDL-A or CDL-B and a valid DOT Medical Card
Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
Able to work a variable schedule with start times between 12am and 9am
Able to call in to the plant at 4/5pm daily
Preferred 1 year of driving experience
Strong attention to safety and quality standards
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

Maintain the highest standard of quality and safety while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of concrete
Operate an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck in accordance with all federal and state regulations
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT guidelines
Document and request required repairs as needed
Load and pour concrete using ladders, main chutes, and extension chutes
Drive in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian and equipment traffic
Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records according to company policies and regulations
Read delivery tickets and communicate with dispatch
Wash residual concrete and materials off all areas of the truck and barrel
