Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience working in a professional kitchen
- strong desire to learn and develop culinary skills
- active food handler's certification or the ability to obtain it
- ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- excellent organizational skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- passion for cooking and providing high-quality food and service

Job Duties
- develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods
- grow skills in using knives and various kitchen equipment
- recreate menu items for restaurant and banquets
- develop consistency in cooking and presentation
- minimize food waste through cross utilization
- setup workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat)
- use standard practices in kitchen sanitization
- store all food and other items properly
- be responsible for the quality of ingredients
