Job Duties
- Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence
- Provide employees, residents and guests with clean and sanitized utensils, plate ware, glassware and equipment
- Ensure dishes are sanitized and available as necessary
- Always keep sanitation solution up to health department code standards
- Set up the dish machine in the AM and close down the dish machine in the PM according to procedures
- Maintain daily cleanliness and maintenance of dish machine
- Complete Dishwasher Temperature Log at required times
- Wash plate ware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans and kitchen utensils according to sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Place clean plate ware, glassware, silverware, and pots/pans in specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Keep kitchen clean by sweeping, mopping floors, lining and emptying trash
- Clean and sanitize throughout shift
- Complete assigned prep work and cleaning duties
- Trouble-shoot dishwasher machine malfunction
- Attend scheduled training seminars and staff meetings
- Assist with setting tables, serving meals and bussing tables
- Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggest alternative courses of action
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Meet state or provincial health related requirements
- Maintain current Food Handlers permit
