Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy cargo and operate loading equipment
  • Ability to operate forklifts and K-loaders or willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work flexible hours including night, day, weekend, and on-call shifts
  • Willingness to travel and work in remote, often harsh conditions
  • No prior loadmaster experience necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Strong background in cargo handling, logistics, or weight and balance calculations
  • Ability to work in physically demanding and challenging environments
  • Excellent mathematical and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations related to cargo loading
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, and on-call
  • No prior loadmaster experience required due to comprehensive training provided

Job Duties

  • Manage the entire cargo loading process including supervision of ground crew and operation of loading equipment
  • Ensure all cargo is properly secured and documented according to FAA regulations and company policies
  • Calculate and verify aircraft weight and balance before each flight
  • Monitor cargo hold during flight to detect and address any cargo movement or issues
  • Operate forklifts, K-loaders, and other ground equipment for loading and unloading
  • Perform offloading and oversee local ground crew operations on remote trip legs
  • Complete necessary paperwork and sign off the load plan to authorize aircraft departure
