Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • current healthcare certification or license maintained throughout employment
  • completion of introductory hyperbaric training course as approved
  • minimum two years healthcare experience preferred
  • current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail
  • problem-solving skills
  • ability to stay calm and relax patients
  • good interpersonal communication
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • current healthcare professional certification or license applicable in state of practice
  • certification or licensure could include respiratory therapist, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, certified medical assistant, certified hyperbaric specialist or technologist, emergency medical technician, paramedic, physical therapist or assistant
  • completion of hyperbaric training approved by recognized bodies such as the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology, Department of Defense, or Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society
  • minimum two years healthcare experience preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • basic math ability
  • organizational and time-management skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares, educates and orients patients about the hyperbaric oxygen therapy
  • administers the hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider
  • monitors and controls the hyperbaric chamber equipment and patient responses during therapy sessions
  • makes appropriate data entries for daily treatments and patient records, including photo uploading
  • operates and maintains hyperbaric chamber and support oxygen systems
  • assists in vein clinic as assigned after training completion
  • participates in safety program activities including safety drills
