Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- current healthcare certification or license maintained throughout employment
- completion of introductory hyperbaric training course as approved
- minimum two years healthcare experience preferred
- current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- attention to detail
- problem-solving skills
- ability to stay calm and relax patients
- good interpersonal communication
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- current healthcare professional certification or license applicable in state of practice
- certification or licensure could include respiratory therapist, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, certified medical assistant, certified hyperbaric specialist or technologist, emergency medical technician, paramedic, physical therapist or assistant
- completion of hyperbaric training approved by recognized bodies such as the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology, Department of Defense, or Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society
- minimum two years healthcare experience preferred
- proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- basic math ability
- organizational and time-management skills
Job Duties
- Prepares, educates and orients patients about the hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- administers the hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider
- monitors and controls the hyperbaric chamber equipment and patient responses during therapy sessions
- makes appropriate data entries for daily treatments and patient records, including photo uploading
- operates and maintains hyperbaric chamber and support oxygen systems
- assists in vein clinic as assigned after training completion
- participates in safety program activities including safety drills
