Job Requirements
- Ability to pass fingerprint clearance from NYS OPWDD
- Ability to pass Child Abuse and Maltreatment Screening clearance from NYS OCFS
- Ability to pass a drug screening prior to assignment
- Physical ability to perform routine cleaning tasks
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and sanitation standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and sanitation principles
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties
- Clean and service rooms, bathrooms, offices, and general areas of buildings, including mop and vacuum floors and/or carpets and wash windows as needed
- Dust furniture and sanitize equipment used by children such as gym mats, bean bag chairs, potty chairs, etc
- Arrange rooms in an orderly fashion
- Collect and dispose of trash according to the procedure
- Scour bathroom appliances, i.e., tubs, toilets, polish mirrors, brass and metal fixtures, and glass panels in doors and partitions
- Replenish supplies of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, paper cups, etc. in all bathrooms and staff rooms
- Keep utility and storage rooms in good order by cleaning lockers and equipment, arranging supplies, etc
- Observe safety precautions and keep cleaning supplies away from children
- Perform emergency clean-up as needed
- Understand sanitation principles and routines
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
