The role of Host at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City is a critical position within the food and beverage department. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests arriving at the restaurants, responsible for greeting and seating guests with warmth and professionalism. Your role is to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of seating arrangements while maintaining the overall ambiance and service standards in the dining area. This position requires an individual with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Additionally, the Host works closely with the restaurant team using various communication tools, including telephones, two-way radios, guest paging systems, and both computerized and manual table management systems to optimize seating and service. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host podium, promptly addressing guest feedback, and ensuring that the dining room floor remains presentable at all times are also important aspects of the job.

The job may demand physical endurance, including standing for the duration of shift hours and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds. Job Duties

  • Greet guests on arrival and regards on departure in a warm and inviting manner
  • Maintain full knowledge of restaurant lay-out and seat patrons based off of specific layout
  • Work with communication devices such as telephones, two-way radio, guest paging system, and both computerized and manual table management system
  • Interact with guests to maintain great guest relations and provide opportunities for loyalty
  • Ensure and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the host podium and ensure the dining room floor is presentable at all times
  • Communicate to management in a timely fashion any guest compliments or complaints
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
