Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of administrative or clerical experience in a customer service environment
  • Ability to use Visitor Management System and Epic medical record system
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Ensures every visitor completes mandatory health screening and is cleared to proceed through facility
  • records health screening for all visitors in Visitor Management System
  • Utilizes Visitor Management System to verify visitor status and create visitor badges
  • Serves as an ambassador by providing high level customer service support and assistance to patients, families, visitors and internal team members
  • Adheres to and enforces visitor access policy and procedures
  • Verifies authorized visitors in Epic medical record system and begins patient registration process as applicable
  • Provides first level de-escalation of difficult situations with patients, families and visitors
  • Supports patient safety by adhering to infection control policies and safety guidelines
  • Keeps all immediate areas clean and organized
  • Escorts all visitors to their destination
