Job Requirements
- class A CDL License or class B CDL License with air brake endorsement
- valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one
- ability to pass motor vehicle record screen
- ability to obtain sales-related licensure as required
- ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- minimum age of 21
- compliance with DOT and CDL regulations
Job Qualifications
- 1 year experience driving a semi-truck or trailer or certification from a driving school
- 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service
- 3 months experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading/offloading
- strong customer service orientation
- knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- ability to operate delivery-related equipment and technology
- physical ability to perform loading and delivery tasks
- excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- provides smart customer service through execution of Lowe's customer service policies
- seeks out customers to understand and assist with merchandise needs
- listens and responds to customer and employee questions
- demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- communicates stock, special order, and warranty information
- plans delivery activities and prints loading tickets
- pulls merchandise and loads trucks according to order
- inspects product condition before delivery
- matches loaded items with invoice
- ensures loads comply with DOT regulations
- updates delivery and route status on system
- unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery
- verifies vehicle inspections and reports
- maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs maintenance
- completes DOT reporting for compliance
- detects and reports shoplifting and security risks
- adheres to housekeeping standards to maintain clean work environment
- ensures safe and secure work environment
- follows all safety requirements relevant to job duties
- operates store equipment as needed
- performs additional duties as assigned
