Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in bakery or food service preferred
Ability to follow recipes and operate bakery equipment
Must be able to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs
Strong communication skills
Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Must comply with company grooming and uniform policies

Job Qualifications

Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
Ability to work in varying temperatures
Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without allergic consequences
Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to comply with all time and attendance policies and assigned schedules
Must be at least 18 years old to operate certain machinery

Job Duties

Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
Maintain department sanitation and QA standards
Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
Keep floor clear of debris and spills
Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service
Maintain and properly use all department equipment
Pack out product into display cases
Rotate product to ensure freshness
Ensure accurate signage for the department
Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
Perform duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
Dress and groom according to company policy
Perform duties following QA hand washing standards and use disposable gloves
Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor and texture
Set up, operate and tend bakery equipment according to recipes
Prepare special order requests as needed
Track sales movement on production logs
Take accurate inventory of supplies and reorder as needed
Place reclamation in its proper location
Lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
Unload trucks and transport merchandise
Check prices and know item locations
Promote charitable promotions to customers
Stand for duration of shift
Receive deliveries
Assist in other departments when instructed
Follow HAZCOM program and safe use of chemicals
Adhere to company safety and security standards
Follow procedures for receiving, code dating, storing and restocking products
Handle damaged and spoiled products per company policy
Adhere to company shrink guidelines
Utilize and maintain equipment and report issues
Check refrigeration equipment performance
Complete all department training programs
Maintain punctual and regular attendance
Work overtime as assigned
Work cooperatively with others
Operate balers, hi-lo's, power jacks and slicing machines if over 18
Perform other duties as assigned
