Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior loadmaster experience required but preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy cargo and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Availability to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, and on-call periods
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license

Job Qualifications

  • Strong background in cargo handling, logistics, or weight and balance
  • Ability to perform precise mathematical calculations
  • Physically strong and capable of working in demanding environments
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations preferred
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work variable schedules including night, weekend, and on-call shifts

Job Duties

  • Ensure all cargo is loaded, secured, and documented in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies
  • Calculate aircraft weight and balance accurately and sign off prior to departure
  • Operate forklifts, K-loaders, and other ground equipment to handle cargo
  • Inspect cargo including hazardous materials for damage or discrepancies
  • Supervise loading and unloading activities at remote village locations
  • Monitor cargo hold during flights for security and safety
  • Manage paperwork related to cargo operations and weight balance
