Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- two to three years of experience in a service-oriented department preferably healthcare
- proven experience as a floor technician or similar role
- physical strength and stamina to carry heavy items and stand for long periods
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- basic computer skills for daily tasks
- must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
- ability to perform physical tasks requiring endurance and dexterity
- consistent use of proper body mechanics
- ability to stand and walk long periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- two to three years experience in a service-oriented department preferably in healthcare
- knowledge of Perioperative Services department operations highly desired
- proven experience as a floor technician or similar role
- knowledge of various cleaning products and tools
- ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment
- physical strength and stamina to carry heavy items and stand for long periods
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- knowledge of 7 step cleaning and decontamination techniques highly desired
- ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- basic computer skills including RFID equipment tracking
- good interpersonal skills
- ability to safely operate floor care machinery
Job Duties
- Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed cleaning techniques
- operating floor care machinery
- creating a great first impression through service excellence
- values constructive criticism and modifies behaviors accordingly
- demonstrates proper use of protective devices such as gloves, gowns, safety goggles, floor signs
- routine cleaning and maintenance of carpets and hard surface floors
- ensuring compliance with hospital and departmental standards
