- Experience working on civil construction projects as a field inspector or recent graduate with an engineering or construction management degree

Job Duties
- Onsite and daily coordination and management of contractors work activities
- coordinates daily construction activity with the Chicago Department of Aviation’s representatives including Operations and Security for all contractor’s movements on the airfield
- enforce contractor responsibility to prevent utility strikes and maintain a completed Utility Checklist
- responsible for ensuring contractor’s work performance meets contract documents
- verify that the contractor has obtained required permits for the project
- inspect and properly document new materials with Request for Inspection of Material form and collect Material Delivery Tickets
- measure and verify contractor’s quantities reflected in the Inspection Daily Reports
- complete daily Inspection Daily Reports detailing pay items and contractor activities
- document quality issues leading to Non-Conformance or Quality Deficiency Reports
- create daily construction reports using Primavera Contract Management 13 and provide copies to Resident Engineer
- monitor jobsite safety and quality assurance in compliance with FAA 139, CDA Airport Safety Manual, and OSHA
- complete daily Field Book entries and record activities, manpower, and equipment
- take progress and deficiency photos for documentation
- track construction activities to complete CDA Work Reports for field orders or Time and Material work
- actively participate in all progress meetings
