Job Requirements
- must be able to work on site
- willing and physically able to perform manual labor consistent with food and beverage employee expectations
- ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- ability to stand for entire shifts with reaching, bending, and stooping
- reliable transportation to and from Kiawah Island
- valid driver’s license
- ability to pass background check
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 21 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required
- college degree in hospitality, travel and tourism, or related field highly preferred
- excellent academic standing at time of application
- minimum of two years front of house food and beverage industry experience preferably in luxury or four star/four diamond properties
- extensive food and beverage service knowledge
- wine certifications and culinary certifications considered a plus
- TIPS and ServSafe certifications highly preferred
- excellent verbal and written English language skills
- proficiency in basic computer programs and ability to quickly learn software and equipment functions
Job Duties
- rotate through various food and beverage outlets and departments as needed
- develop expertise in line level competencies of each department
- absorb and apply basic operational standards
- coach and train individuals in assigned departments
- support daily food and beverage supervisory functions
- participate in scheduled classes and training initiatives
- engage in mentor-trainee relationship to learn company culture and expectations
