Job Requirements
- Must be able to carry out instructions and deal with standard situations
- Prior cleaning experience is helpful
- Knowledge of how to use chemicals properly including application to surfaces and areas is helpful
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is helpful
Job Qualifications
- Lifting requirements: 60+ pounds occasionally, 20+ pounds frequently, 10+ pounds consistently
- Ability to bend and stoop repeatedly
- Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours a day
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of safe working practices and company guidelines
- Ability to work around chemicals and strong smells
- Team-oriented mindset
- Flexible working schedule including morning or evening shifts
- Good work habits with attention to detail and surroundings
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures including below 41F
Job Duties
- Clean assigned areas, both inside and outside, of facility - including mopping, sweeping, dusting, polishing, scouring, taking out trash, and any other cleaning related functions as assigned
- Clean, organize, and put away dishes, utensils, and equipment as required in a timely manner
- Properly dispose of items such as food and trash as required
- Report any problems, inconsistencies, damage, and breakdowns
- Keep track of porter supply inventories and report items when low
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, FDA, HACCP, and all other regulations
