Job Requirements
- Previous floor care experience preferred
- Must demonstrate proper use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment assigned after initial training period
- Ability to perform floor care maintenance techniques
- Commitment to safety and infection control standards
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- Willingness to perform specialty tasks
- Adherence to patient privacy requirements HIPAA
Job Qualifications
- Previous floor care experience preferred
- Ability to demonstrate proper use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment assigned
- Knowledge of floor care maintenance techniques
- Understanding of infection prevention practices
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Performs both routine and restorative floor care and maintenance throughout the facility including hard surfaces and carpeting
- Performs basic environmental cleaning functions throughout the facilities when necessary including room discharge cleaning, surgery terminal cleaning, UV disinfecting
- Adhere to all organizational safety, risk management and infection control standards while promoting a culture of safety
- Cleans and performs routine maintenance on floor equipment
- requesting assistance from plant operations and maintenance as needed
- Operates all equipment with care and according to facility and manufacturers safety standards and procedures
- Completes the appropriate paperwork correctly and in a timely manner
- Participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives
- Performs project work and specialty tasks according to facility needs such as conference room set up/dismantle, cleaning of stairwells and elevators, hanging of cubicle curtains
- Remove waste and transport to appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste stream
- Follow all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning process, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, proper use of personal protective equipment
- Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements HIPAA
- Supports training of team members as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
