Job Requirements
- Previous floor care experience preferred
- After initial training period, must be able to demonstrate proper use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment assigned and floor care maintenance techniques
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Physical ability to perform routine floor care and cleaning tasks
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and departmental initiatives
Job Duties
- Performs both routine and restorative floor care and maintenance throughout the facility, include hard surfaces and carpeting
- Performs basic environmental cleaning functions throughout the facilities when necessary, including room discharge cleaning, surgery terminal cleaning, UV disinfecting etc.
- Adhere to all organizational safety, risk management and infection control standards while promoting a culture of safety
- Cleans and performs routine maintenance on floor equipment
- requesting assistance from plant operations and maintenance as needed
- Operates all equipment with care and according to facility and manufacturers safety standards and procedures
- Completes the appropriate paperwork correctly and in a timely manner
- Participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives
- Performs project work and specialty tasks according to facility needs including conference room set up/dismantle, cleaning of stairwells and elevators, hanging of cubicle curtains
- Remove waste and transport to appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste stream
- Follow all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning process, hand hygiene, use of PPE
- Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA)
- Supports training of team members as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
