Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift over 40lbs
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, or at least two years of college in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations or related field
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Event management experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, Canva and social media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, sponsors and the public
  • Strong organizational, relationship-building and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Attend all events including Day On The Town, Dream Cruise, weekly Farmers Market (Sundays, May-October), Movie Nights, Small Business Saturday, Tree Lighting, Winter Market and others
  • Assist with coordinating sponsors, vendors and participants, securing entertainment, organizing non-profit and volunteer involvement
  • Serve as on-site Market Manager by leading management of the weekly seasonal Farmers Market
  • Assist Operations & Events Manager and Executive Director with management of all other events
  • Assist with registration information for vendors and businesses participating in events and providing information for vendor invoicing
  • Aid in event set-up and accomplishing tasks assigned to ensure event success
  • Support in production and distribution of printed marketing materials such as brochures, posters, advertisements and signs as requested
