Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license
- able to pass federal, state, and local background checks
- able to pass drug and alcohol tests
- physically capable of performing medium work
- able to operate commercial motor vehicles with Gross Vehicle Weight Range of 10,000-26,000 lb
- availability to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday
- good communication skills
- able to comply with Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
Job Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests
- good interpersonal skills
- high school diploma or equivalent
- generally prefer 2-4 years of relevant experience
Job Duties
- Verify shipment-bills for required information and load freight onto trucks
- unload freight from trucks and weigh/check dimensions compared to shipper’s calculations
- sort outbound freight between overnight and second-day and load ULD and trucks
- deliver freight to customer location using company vehicles
- recover freight from customer location using company vehicles
- meet all Federal and State standards of qualification for commercial drivers
- adhere to safety regulations and operational procedures
