Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 5 years of industry related sales experience within distribution, hospitality, or supplier community
- Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to travel overnight as required
- Ability to participate in business meetings, company initiatives, and events
- Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting and typing for extended periods, occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, stooping, and lifting up to 20lbs
- Successful completion of drug test including marijuana test
- Adherence to safety-sensitive position requirements
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 5 years of industry related sales experience within distribution, hospitality, or supplier community
- Comprehensive understanding of wine and spirits including regions, varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service
- Industry certifications preferred
- Strong negotiation skills and entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to create and sell innovative ideas
- Goal oriented, focused, and assertive with little supervision needed
- Ability to adapt and work with various internal customer groups and personality types
- Proficient at calculating commissions, percentages, and performing sales data analysis
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local beverage/alcohol industry laws relevant to assigned accounts
Job Duties
- Sell to accounts in trade channels including On- and Off-Premise, regional, and/or national customers
- Drive brand success via leadership selling against trade channels and actively support the selling efforts of sales reps, district managers, and key account specialists
- Lead all parts of the sales process including targeting appropriate accounts, lead selling, education and brand positioning
- Monitor field implementation and execution of programs within assigned accounts to ensure product pricing and promotion
- Regularly interact with field management for updating programming and brand priorities, standards, and best practices
- Provide detailed tracking reports of wholesaler performance against agreed-to supplier objectives
- Develop key account relationships that deliver measurable results
- Work with key assigned teams to deliver monthly goals such as work-withs, product training samples
- Create, coordinate, and attend on-site promotional functions at established customer accounts including winemaker dinners, product launches, and tastings
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
