Job Requirements
- Meet personal schedule requirements punctually
- Work a variable, flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Stand and/or walk for entire shifts
- Perform in limited physical space with variable ventilation, smoke and extreme temperatures
- Handle extremes in water and air temperature
- Safely transport items to and from kitchen areas on slick and uneven surfaces
- Safely transport containers that weigh up to 50 lbs
- Transport dishes, bus tubs or trays from dish washing area to any kitchen area including stairs
- Safely move about in all restaurant areas

- Ability to meet personal schedule requirements punctually
- Willingness to work a variable, flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Capability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
- Experience performing in limited physical space with variable ventilation, smoke and extreme temperatures
- Ability to handle extremes in water and air temperature
- Competence in safely transporting items on slick and uneven surfaces
- Ability to safely transport containers weighing up to 50 lbs from any point in the kitchen to dish area and vice versa
- Skills in transporting dishes, bus tubs or trays including use of stairs where applicable
- Ability to safely move about in all restaurant areas
Job Duties
- Wash, sanitize and dry all food service utensils and miscellaneous items placed in the dish area or as requested by management or staff
- Safely wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils and machinery
- Ensure cleanliness of all items washed in the dish room
- Follow proper dish washing sequence according to standing operating procedure
- Maintain a pace to prevent backup of dirty dishes, glassware and utensils
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety
- Return all items to appropriate areas after washing and sanitizing procedures
- Read a thermometer
- Maintain dish washing machinery and identify potential problem areas
- Properly operate and utilize the dish machine and cleaning supplies
- Identify cleaning supplies and their specific uses
- Assist with general cleanliness of the heart of the house
- Perform varied duties to ensure efficient dish washing according to procedure
- Perform functions of position alone without assistance if necessary
