Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- must possess valid Class C driver’s license or such other proper license classification required by Department of Transportation
- high school diploma or GED
- prior work experience sufficient to work under general supervision
- ability to follow safety policies and transportation regulations
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
- willingness to travel 75 percent of the time with no overnight stays
- such alternatives as the company may find appropriate and acceptable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- prior work experience sufficient to work under general supervision
- possession of valid Class C driver’s license or other proper license classification required by Department of Transportation
- ability to communicate effectively across teams and adjust communication style
- strategic and innovative thinking skills
- knowledge of safety and transportation regulations
- strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Timely transportation of product from origin to destination as assigned
- assist in verification of all outgoing and incoming product for accuracy in terms of size, amount and type
- collect payments from customers in monetary form acceptable to Company
- ensure all administrative paperwork concerning delivery orders required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies delivery
- maintain professional representation of the Company in all interactions with customers and through responsible driving
- maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by law and Company policy
- abide by all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations
- occasionally operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.)
