Job Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry products up to 70 lbs horizontally and vertically
able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously for an 8-hour shift
perform cleaning and sanitizing of the department including tables, floors, walls, cases, coolers, and freezers
operate and maintain equipment safely
adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
maintain a Food Handlers permit
able to work in cooler and freezer environments
perform other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience
experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
be dependable and reliable
have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
possess good communication skills
ability to take direction and work in a team environment
ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
able to answer phones and take special orders

Job Duties

Prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
provide high level of customer service in the Deli department
arrange vegetables, sliced meats, and cheeses for made-to-order sandwiches
assist customers with catering orders
maintain food safety and sanitation standards
operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment
perform general housekeeping including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
