Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Less than high school education or equivalent experience
- Ability to read and understand simple words and numbers
- Clear printing and simple sentence speaking ability
- Effective communication with team and customers
- Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Knowledge of American units of measurement
- Valid driver’s license with proof of registration and insurance if driving
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Job Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation
- Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- Know American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc.
- Required to have a valid driver's license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time with proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
- Provide surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors and windows, polishing metal and wood surfaces, and cleaning blinds and draperies
- Remove waste by emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
- Conduct light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets or rooms
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures, and stop at-risk behavior of self and others
- Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
- Take direction and respond to supervision
- Use proper personal protective equipment
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct
- Understand and use reporting systems related to the environment
- Transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables
- straighten areas including lobbies and conference rooms
- clean elevators
- assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
- damp mop floors
- spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets
- dust open common spaces
- clean and organize janitorial closets and storage areas
- pick up trash, recycling, and compost bins and transport to disposal areas
- Clean drop-in desktops between events
