Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six months related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
  • ability to lift 50 lbs
  • ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with assistance or equipment
  • ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for dangerous goods
  • if required, ability to perform spill clean-up and complete related training
  • ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
  • ability to communicate effectively verbally in a noisy, time-sensitive environment
  • possession of valid driver's license if required to drive company vehicles

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six months related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
  • knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages preferred
  • current dangerous goods certification preferred
  • ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
  • ability to communicate effectively verbally
  • experience with computer systems including mainframe, PC, internet/intranet preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensures safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
  • ensures related dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete, and timely, including proper distribution to all necessary parties
  • performs other duties as assigned
  • completes all basic and re-currency training for dangerous goods
  • completes spill clean-up training if required
  • communicates effectively in a time-sensitive and noisy operations environment
