Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance
  • Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods
  • Ability to complete spill clean-up training if required
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy environment
  • Possess valid driver’s license if required to drive company vehicles
  • Safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
  • Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages
  • Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up
  • Ability to communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner
  • Computer literacy including mainframe, PC, internet/intranet experience
  • Current Dangerous Goods certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
  • Ensure dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete and timely including proper distribution to all necessary parties
  • Perform spill clean-up duties if required
  • Complete all assigned basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up
  • Communicate effectively in a noisy operational environment
  • Operate company vehicles or motorized conveyances if required and possess valid driver’s license
  • Perform other duties as assigned
