Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance
Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods
Ability to complete spill clean-up training if required
Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy environment
Possess valid driver’s license if required to drive company vehicles
Safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages
Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up
Ability to communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner
Computer literacy including mainframe, PC, internet/intranet experience
Current Dangerous Goods certification preferred

Job Duties

Ensure safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
Ensure dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete and timely including proper distribution to all necessary parties
Perform spill clean-up duties if required
Complete all assigned basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up
Communicate effectively in a noisy operational environment
Operate company vehicles or motorized conveyances if required and possess valid driver’s license
Perform other duties as assigned
