Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance
- Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods
- Ability to complete spill clean-up training if required
- Ability to read and understand manuals, regulations, charts and tables
- Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy environment
- Possess valid driver’s license if required to drive company vehicles
- Safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months of related station, ramp, hub or safety experience preferred
- Knowledge of shipping or processing dangerous goods packages
- Ability to complete all basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up
- Ability to communicate verbally in a time-sensitive manner
- Computer literacy including mainframe, PC, internet/intranet experience
- Current Dangerous Goods certification preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure safe and legal handling of dangerous goods including proper separation, palletizing and aircraft/truck loading
- Ensure dangerous goods paperwork is accurate, complete and timely including proper distribution to all necessary parties
- Perform spill clean-up duties if required
- Complete all assigned basic and re-currency training for Dangerous Goods and spill clean-up
- Communicate effectively in a noisy operational environment
- Operate company vehicles or motorized conveyances if required and possess valid driver’s license
- Perform other duties as assigned
