Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or related experience
  • Experience as advanced line cook preferred
  • Food handlers card required
  • Ability to stand and walk for majority of the shift
  • Flexible scheduling including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lead team in Culinary Leader's absence
  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience as an advanced line cook preferred
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred in banquet or restaurant line
  • Ability to perform basic intermediate and advanced culinary skills
  • Prepared to stand and walk majority of the shift
  • Ability to lead team in Culinary Leader's absence
  • Flexible scheduling availability including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to self-monitor with limited supervision on daily tasks and give direction in absence of Sous Chef
  • Food handlers card required

Job Duties

  • Have basic understanding of kitchen operations within the hotel specifically banquet and restaurant line
  • Utilize culinary skills to prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
  • Produce consistent quality food products meeting guest needs timely
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations equipment and kitchen areas under health and safety standards
  • Possess skills in department training and assume department responsibilities in absence of Sous Chef
  • Uphold health and safety standards including sanitation and hygiene practices
  • Assist in monitoring payroll costs and overtime
  • Supervise hourly cooks
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
