Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent education required
- One to two years kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits
- Maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per The Umstead Hotel standards

Job Duties
- Lead by example through hands-on involvement of all aspects of Herons production and service
- Represent the Executive Chef's core values of quality, sanitation, and fair treatment of all associates
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workplace as implemented by the Executive Chef and Chef De Cuisine
- Report directly to the Chef De Cuisine and/or the Sous Chef Team
- Support preparation and cooking of menu items to meet quality standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Foster positive team collaboration in the kitchen
