- ensure consistent serving sizes that meet nutritional requirements
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen and properly store food
- use equipment and utensils carefully observing any restrictions
- follow routine meal schedules supporting patient stability
- interact with patients in a calm and respectful way when appropriate
- report any unusual patient behavior observed during meal service to clinical staff
- collaborate with dietitians, nurses, behavioral health staff, and facility management
