  • ensure consistent serving sizes that meet nutritional requirements
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen and properly store food
  • use equipment and utensils carefully observing any restrictions
  • follow routine meal schedules supporting patient stability
  • interact with patients in a calm and respectful way when appropriate
  • report any unusual patient behavior observed during meal service to clinical staff
  • collaborate with dietitians, nurses, behavioral health staff, and facility management
