Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience in culinary or cooking position
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow established recipes and safety guidelines
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of cooking methods
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time shifts
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years experience in a culinary role
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Culinary arts education preferred
  • Serve-Safe certification preferred
  • Allergy awareness training preferred
  • Experience with receiving orders and inventory control helpful
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards
  • Follow proper cooking techniques and methods including grilling, frying, roasting, baking, and sautéing
  • Monitor food temperatures, cooking times, and ingredient quantities to prevent waste
  • Collaborate with culinary team and management to develop and refine menu items, specials, and promotions
  • Experiment with new ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques to create innovative dishes
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and orderly kitchen environment
  • Assist with inventory management including receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management
  • Support and assist colleagues as needed to maintain efficient workflow
