Job Requirements

Must have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start date
must be at least 18 years of age
hold a high school diploma or equivalent
read, speak, and write English
successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination
maintain current immunizations
be physically and behaviorally capable of performing the duties
physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally over 40 pounds
able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods of time
obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
understand that this is a drug testing designated position subject to random drug testing

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
minimum of one year experience in food preparation and knowledge of meal planning
ability to perform yield testing and ingredient adjustment
experience in a restaurant, grill, snack bar, or similar food service environment
ability to read, speak, and write English proficiently
physical capability to lift objects up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
current food handler certificate or ability to obtain one
experience complying with health and safety standards in food service

Job Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to established food preparation principles and safety standards
perform yield testing to determine portion cost and adjust ingredients as needed
order, issue, and store food supplies properly
maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen area
monitor food inventory to minimize waste and ensure timely replenishment
comply with food handler safety regulations and obtain necessary certifications
assist with meal planning to ensure timely and nutritious meal service
