Job Requirements
- Must have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start date
- must be at least 18 years of age
- hold a high school diploma or equivalent
- read, speak, and write English
- successfully pass a pre-employment physical examination
- maintain current immunizations
- be physically and behaviorally capable of performing the duties
- physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally over 40 pounds
- able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods of time
- obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
- understand that this is a drug testing designated position subject to random drug testing
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of one year experience in food preparation and knowledge of meal planning
- ability to perform yield testing and ingredient adjustment
- experience in a restaurant, grill, snack bar, or similar food service environment
- ability to read, speak, and write English proficiently
- physical capability to lift objects up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
- current food handler certificate or ability to obtain one
- experience complying with health and safety standards in food service
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established food preparation principles and safety standards
- perform yield testing to determine portion cost and adjust ingredients as needed
- order, issue, and store food supplies properly
- maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen area
- monitor food inventory to minimize waste and ensure timely replenishment
- comply with food handler safety regulations and obtain necessary certifications
- assist with meal planning to ensure timely and nutritious meal service
