Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successfully complete training as required by State regulations
  • Six months prior experience in a food service department preferred
  • Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations
  • Previous experience working with elderly individuals
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
  • Ability to work responsibly as a team member and independently
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations

Job Duties

  • Work closely with the Dining Services Manager to coordinate food ordering
  • Prepare food in a nutritional and appetizing manner
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation and cleanliness
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are well maintained
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff
  • Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation
  • Assist with inventory management and kitchen organization
